MINUTES OF THE DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> MEETING OF May 17, 1974 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. in Room 226 by Chairman Erickson to <br /> conduct a public hearing as published in the notice. Motion by Dahlk, <br /> second by Holte to correct minutes of April 19, 1974. Petition #276: <br /> Wm. Matz appeared for the Town of Verona, not 0. Rhiner. Motion by <br /> Dahlk, second by Holte, to approve the minutes of April 19, May 9 and <br /> May 11, 1974. Carried. <br /> Present: Erickson, Holte, Dahlk. Also: Enger, Fleck. <br /> #278. Harland Thoelke; appeal for a variance from side yard and setback <br /> requirements of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance, Section 10.16 (6) 2 and <br /> Section 10.17 (3). Location: Lot 35, Block 1, Brictson Park, Township <br /> of Dunn. <br /> IN FAVOR: Mr. Thoelke and son; purpose is to provide for storage of car <br /> and boat. Building will be in line with other garages and will not be <br /> made more non-conforming. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. OPPOSED: None. <br /> TOWN BOARD: Call from Wm. Offerdahl, town chairman; no objection. <br /> #279. Dairyland Signs; appeal for a variance on distance between signs <br /> requirement of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance, Section 10.42 (3) (a) . <br /> Location: N4f, NYC, Section 23, Township of Burke. <br /> IN FAVOR: Mr. Mikkelson, owner of Dairyland Signs. Signs are existing. <br /> The sign located in A-1 is required to be 1320' from another sign, but it <br /> is only 1170' . Requesting a variance so that this sign may remain until <br /> the State pays compensation for removal. Suggestion by Mr. Enger: Move <br /> the sign to the C-1 area, both signs could be conforming and no variance <br /> would be required. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. OPPOSED: None. TOWN BOARD: Not present. <br /> No communications. <br /> #280. Dane County Farmers Union Co-op; appeal for a variance from setback <br /> requirements of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance, Section 10.17 (2) (b). <br /> Location: C.T.H. "N", SE4 SW , Section 16, Township of Cottage Grove. <br /> IN FAVOR: Gale Hartung, proposal is to speed up drying process by 60- <br /> 70%. New tanks are needed in specific location to facilitate this. A <br /> request to move the access drive 100' to the North has been made to Dane <br /> County Highway. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. OPPOSED: None. TOWN BOARD: Not present. <br /> No communication. <br /> #281. Ernest Meyer; appeal for a variance from minimum yard requirements <br /> of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance, :Section 10.08 (6) (c) . Location: <br /> SEA SE4, Section 18, Township of Roxbury. <br /> IN FAVOR: E. Meyer, proposed addition will connect two existing units, <br /> enlarging both to provide permanent living quarters. Resulting building <br /> will conform to ordinance. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. OPPOSED: None. TOWN BOARD: Call from R. Ballwe:, <br /> town chairman, no objection. <br /> #282. Homer Rabe; application for a Special Exception Permit to construct <br /> an accessory building in the flood plain. Location: Part of the Ai of <br /> the Nom, Section 28, Township of Mazomanie. <br /> IN FAVOR: H. Rabe, purpose is to provide a residential garage - there is <br /> none on property. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. OPPOSED: None. TOWN BOARD: Not present. <br /> No communications. <br />
