MINUTES OF THE DANE COUN'T'Y BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> MEETING OF April 19, 1974 <br /> Present: Erickson, Holte, Dahlk. Also: Enger, Fleck. <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. in Room 226 by Chairman Erickson to <br /> conduct a public hearing as published in the notice. Motion by Dahlk, <br /> second by Holte to approve the minutes of March 15, 1974 and April 13, <br /> 1974. Carried. <br /> The notice was read and the public hearing was opened. <br /> #270. Appeal by Lloyd W. Bloomfield for a variance from setback require- <br /> ments from a Class C. Highway as provided by Section 10.17 (3) (b) of the <br /> Dane County Zoning Ordinance. Variance necessary in order to repair a <br /> non-conforming building located on a parcel of land in the NWT NE14 of <br /> Section 32, Township of Cottage Grove. <br /> IN FAVOR: Appellant did not appear. OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. <br /> OPPOSED: Petition by area residents presented by Gene Skaar, Town Chair- <br /> man. TOWN BOARD: Gene Skaar, chairman, not in favor. <br /> #271. Appeal by Sidney L. Bursten from the interpretation of the Dane <br /> County Zoning Administrator pertaining to Section 10.01 (26) of the Dane <br /> County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: Sidney Bursten. Ordinance permits division of one large <br /> parcel for the purpose of constructing several residences as long as they <br /> conform to area and setback requirements. If the ordinance did not permit <br /> this, it would state it explicitly. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. OPPOSED: None. TOWN BOARD: Not present. <br /> No communication. <br /> Mr. Enger, Zoning Administrator, presented a "brief" on his interpretation <br /> #272. Appeal by Mark Foster for a variance from setback requirement from <br /> a Class C Highway (Brickson Park Road) as provided by Section 10.17 (3) <br /> (b) of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. Variance necessary to repair <br /> and restore a non-conforming building located on a parcel of land in the <br /> NEB NE 1/2 of Section 27, Township of Westport. <br /> IN FAVOR: Appellant did not appear. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. OPPOSED: Letter presented from Westport Planning' <br /> Committee. TOWN BOARD: B. Kennedy, chairman, R. Shepherd, supervisor, <br /> not in favor. <br /> #273. Appeal by Harry M. Scantlebury for a Special Exception Permit to <br /> construct a residential garage in a flood plain area, Lot 22, Edgerton <br /> Beach Park, Township of Albion. <br /> IN FAVOR: Mr. & Mrs. Scantlebury: Plan to live,year around, on premises. <br /> House is small and garage is necessary for storage for car and boat. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. OPPOSED: None. TOWN BOARD: Not present, No <br /> communication. <br /> #274. Appeal by Russell Goldman for a variance from rear yard require- <br /> ment as provided by Section 10.12 (7) (a) of the Dane County Zoning <br /> Ordinance. Variance necessary in order to build an addition to a non- <br /> conforming residence located in the NW.11 SW1, of Section 14, Township of <br /> Burke. <br /> IN FAVOR: R. Goldman, variance is required because residence is non- <br /> conforming <br /> and was so when purchased. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None. OPPOSED: None.
