MINUTES OF THE DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> Meeting of August 18, 1972 <br /> The Dane County Board of Adjustment met on August 18, 1972 with the <br /> following members present: Erickson, Holte, Dahik: also: Enger, <br /> Fleck <br /> Meeting was called to order in the City-County Building, Room 226 <br /> (Circuit Court Branch IV) to conduct a Public Hearing as.published in <br /> . the notice. A motion to approve the minutes of 7-21 and 8-12-72 by <br /> Dahik, second by Holte, carried. <br /> The notice was read and the Public Hearing was opened. <br /> #186. Appeal by the Highwood Estates Improvement Association for a <br /> Special Exception Permit to fill the grade parts of Block 2, First Additio, ; <br /> Blocks. 1 and 3, Second Addition; Blocks 1, 3 and 5, Third Addition, <br /> Highwood Estates, Section 36, Township of Albion. <br /> IN FAVOR: Mr. Halper, President of the Highwood Estates Improvement <br /> Association. Fill is excess dirt from sewer installation in the area <br /> and purpose is to fill marshy areas for mosquito abatement, Question <br /> Enger: How much of the proposed fill area is owned by Highland <br /> Estates Association? Mr. Halper All of it, it is not intended to use <br /> this area for residential purposes; will be used for public park. <br /> Others in Favor None: Opposed: None <br /> Town Board: Letter: Sanford Adnerson, Chairman, stating the Town Board <br /> has no objection. <br /> DNR Letter: Stating fill will not be permitted at less than 788.0'. <br /> #187 Appeal by Philip Esser from denial of a permit to build an <br /> addition to a building located on a parcel of land in the NE q NWT of <br /> Section 21, Township of Springdale. Permit denied because setback from <br /> Town Road is less than required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: P. Esser, existing shed was there when farm was bought. <br /> Question Erickson, what is width of road? Esser stated that his <br /> abstract, as he recalled, showed the road to be 3 rods wide. Also own <br /> property on South side of road would rather the road be moved or widened i, <br /> that direction if it were necessary. Have a definite problem of building . <br /> space because of terrain. Question Erickson: is there any plan for <br /> improving the road at present? <br /> Ed Lingard: Town Board Chairman, none at present, it would be very <br /> possible to get by the building. <br /> • Others in Favor: none OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: E. Lingard, Chairman, we are in favor of granting the <br /> variance with—the restriction of a 20' addition to the width of the <br /> building instead of the 30' feet proposed. This is because of the <br /> driveway access. <br /> +� #188 Appeal by Roger Wilhite from denial for a permit to build an <br /> addition to a residence located on Lots 14 and 15, Block 1, Orvold's <br /> Park, Township of Dunn. Permit denied because rear yard (setback from <br /> Yahara River) is less than required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: R. Wilhite, addition will be build on an existing foundation <br /> existing residence is much more non-conforming. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None OPPOSED: None <br /> Town Board: Letter: Charles Barber, Clerk, Town Board is in favor. <br />
