The only question before us is the stay order, <br /> OPPOSED: Peter Miller present owner of two farms involved; stated that Mr. <br /> Parks the Town Building Inspecter had seen him on a Sunday and informed <br /> him that Browndale should have a permit for their remodeling but that <br /> there was no hurry in obtaining it, <br /> TOWN BOARD: Gene Skaar, the Board feels that the stay order should be issu:d <br /> as this has progressed far enough without the Town Boards consent. <br /> Chairman Erickson entertained a motion to restrain or not to restrain <br /> Browndale from moving any children into the homes. H. Dahlk stated that he <br /> thought that the residents of the Town of Cottage Grove had a right to be <br /> hegrd on this matter and made the motion that the stay be inforced as <br /> advised by the Corporation Counsel, second by Holte, Carried. <br /> Attorney Glesner made the request that the March 3, 1972 hearing be held <br /> at a later date as he had to be out of the city at that time. There was no <br /> objection by Attorney Schneider but he stated that the Town Board would <br /> have to approve. New date will be determined. <br /> \,/ #165. Appeal by N. D. Oberg from denial of a permit for a sign on a parcel <br /> of land located in the SWki SWi of Section 25, Township of Albion. <br /> Permit Denied because location is too close to an intersection. <br /> IN FAVOR: N. D. Oberg; the sign has been at this location for at <br /> least forty years and is a landmark. It is used as a guide for <br /> directions by bus drivers, St. Joseph's School, the local dairy bar, <br /> and others. Fir. Oberg presented a petition with fifty some signature <br /> in favor of the sign. A location farther to the South would be <br /> blocked by trees, <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR none <br /> OPPOSED: none <br /> TOWN BOARD: not present <br /> The Hearing was closed. <br /> #165. Decision was' held pending measurements to be taken at the location. <br /> #166.
