MINUTES OF THE DANE COUNTY BOARD OD ADJUSTMENT <br /> MEETING OF JANUARY 21, 1972 <br /> The Dane County Board of Adjustment met on January 21, 1972 at 7:30 P. M. <br /> in room 226 (Circuit Court BranchlV) to conduct a Public Hearing as <br /> published in the notice. <br /> Present: Erickson, Holte, Dahlk. <br /> Also: Fleck <br /> The meeting was called to order. Motion to approve the minutes of December <br /> 17, 1971 and January 15, 1972 was made by Dahlk, second by Holte, carried. <br /> The notice was read and the hearing was opened. <br /> „' #158. Appeal by Irving Quam from denial of a permit to erect .a sign on a <br /> parcel of land located in the Nn NWr of Section 36, Township of <br /> Dunn. Permit denied because location is too close to intersection. <br /> IN FAVOR: I.. Quam, proposes. to have directional sign to business off <br /> of Highway 51, stated that he thought he would have a problem trying <br /> to locate in any other location because of property owner's objection <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: none. OPPOSED: none. <br /> TOWN BOARD: not present <br /> k #159. Appeal by Lester Jordan from deniao of a permit to erect a sign on a <br /> parcel of land located in the NE4 SE4 of Section 27, Township of <br /> Bristol. Permit denied because location is too close to intersection. <br /> IN FAVOR: none, applicant not present. OPPOSED: none. <br /> ,/#160. Appeal by J. E. Shaul from denial of a permit to erect a sign on a <br /> parcel of land located in the SW4 SW4 of Section 34, Township of <br /> Deerfield. Permit denied because location is too close to intersecti ' . <br /> IN FAVOR: none, applicant not present. OPPOSED: none. <br /> v/ #161. Appeal by Dean Wiseman for a Special Exception Permit to construct a <br /> pond on a parcel of land located in the SE4 NWT of Section 20, Town- <br /> ship of Deerfield. <br /> IN FAVOR: D. Wiseman proposes to dedicate the pond to a conservation <br /> area under A. S. C. S,, there would be no commercial use of area. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: none. OPPOSED: none. <br /> TOWN BOARD: V. Mandt, Chairman, in favor. <br /> #162. Appeal by Sylvester Hellenbrand from denial of a permit to construct <br /> an addition to a commercial building on a parcel of land located in <br /> the NWT SW4 of Section 26, Township of Springfield. Permit denied <br /> because setback from Highway 12 and County Trunk "K" are less than <br /> required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: S. Hellenbrand proposes to build living quarters above the <br /> front 26' of the building which would be over the store part of the <br /> building. The rear or garage portion of the building was not built t <br /> have a second story. Lot is not large enough to build an addition on <br /> the side. The addition will not affect the present setbacks. <br /> A letter was received from the City of Madison Traffic Engineering I <br /> Department recommending denial because of possible future arterial <br /> highway use a t this point. Me. Enger, Zoning Supervisor had called <br /> District 1, State Highway, and they have no plans for Highway 12 at <br /> likw this point; so there is no objection to the variance. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: none.
