MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> Meeting of October 20, 1972 <br /> Present: Erickson, Holte, Dahlk Also: Popanz, Fleck <br /> Meeting was called to order at 7:25 P.M. <br /> Motion was made by I-b ite to approve the minutes of September 15 and <br /> .October 14, 1972, second by Dahlk, carried. Chairman Erickson notice <br /> that election of officers was overdue and requested nominations. <br /> Motion by Holte appointing Erickson Chairman, second by Dahlk, carried. <br /> Motion by Erickson appointing Dahlk Secretary and Wm. Fleck, recording <br /> secretary; second by Holte, carried. <br /> The notice was read and the Public Hearing was opened. <br /> #197. Appeal by Claire C. Lendborg for a Special Exception Permit to <br /> build an accessory building on a parcel of land located in the flood <br /> plain in part of Government Lot 1, Section 8, Township of Dunn. <br /> Chairman Erickson stated that elevations had been provided which <br /> verified that the parcel was not in the flood plain and asked for a . <br /> motion to withdraw petition. Motion to withdraw petition was made by <br /> Dahlk; second by Holte, carried. <br /> #198. Appeal by Douglas W. Brown from denial of a permit to build an <br /> addition to a residence located on a parcel of land in part of Govern- <br /> - ment Lot 2, Section 6, Township of Westport T7N R9E. Permit denied <br /> because side yard is less than required by the Dane County Zoning <br /> Ordinance. <br /> • IN FAVOR: D. Brown, residence was originally slanted on property <br /> because it was thought to be parallel to lot lines at that time. The <br /> garage was built parallel to the residence. Variance is requested because <br /> addition will connect residence to the garage making the West side yard <br /> non-conforming. The garage will be converted to use as bedrooms. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Chairman B. Kennedy, no objection. <br /> #199. Appeal by Russell Kammer from denial of a permit to build a <br /> building on a parcel of land in the Iii NWy of Section 7, Township of <br /> Fitchburg. Permit denied because setback from County Highway PD is <br /> less than required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: R. Kammer variance requested is only 2feet diminishing to 0 feet <br /> within a 30 foot distance to the West. This is caused because the road <br /> cuts across the front of the lot at an angle. <br /> OTHER IN FAVOR: None OPPOSED: None TOWN BOARD: Not present. <br /> Communication from Department of Transportation, City of Madison, in <br /> opposition to the variance was read. <br /> #200. Appeal by John R. Strause from denial of a permit to build an <br /> addition to a residence located on a parcel of land in part of <br /> Government It 2, Section 6, Township of Westport T7N R9E, Permit <br /> denied because side yard and setback from the street are less than <br /> required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br />
