Concerned about wetlands in Dane County and their disappearance. <br /> (2) . In a position to be concerned if Board of Adjustment grants <br /> permit; will use all available means to prevent fill permits required <br /> from other agencies. <br /> Cliff Germaine (` <br /> In the Scientific Areas Program Department of Natural Resources <br /> not representing Department of Natural Resources. (1) . Property <br /> adjacent to area recognized as one of only 140 State areas. (2) . One I <br /> of the few cooperative areas between land owners and State. (3) . Would <br /> like to purchase "core" area of 500 plus acres very critical to status <br /> of Lake Waubesa. (4) . Road fill will have very serious affect on <br /> scientific area. (5) . Have had an appraisal of property in question <br /> and are about to make an offer to provide a buffer area. (6) . Con- <br /> cerned over type of bridge. <br /> l <br /> LETTERS: Dunn Town Board and Planning Commission both objecting. <br /> E <br /> REBUTTAL: Mr. Aberg (1) . Glad to be informed of his actual plans for L <br /> the property. (2) . Have notified the Town 'Ilk offered to place restric- <br /> tions on property limiting development, hunting, snowmobiling, etc. and f <br /> asked response as to possible solution - the town has not responded. `£ <br /> (3) . Department of Natural Resources has not approached me on buying or I <br /> I IL; donating any portion of property. (4) . Property was bought with an <br /> easement to South portion but this easement has been withdrawn; there- <br /> fore there is no access to the South portion except over the creek. <br /> (5) . There is not way two homes could be built on North end of property. <br /> (6) . Question before Board is whether fill will affect polution, silta- <br /> tion, etc. and not of possible development. <br /> #591. Appeal by Lowell S. McClain for a special exception permit to con- <br /> struct ponds and place fill in the shoreland area of Mud Creek located in <br /> the NW 1/4 SW 1/4 of Section 5, Town of Christiana. Permit required by <br /> Section 10.16 (7) (g) Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> r <br /> IN FAVOR: L. S. McClain. (1) . Has signed approximately 40 acres of <br /> land into "water bank" program. (2) . Desires to construct ponds to <br /> improve wildlife habitation. (3) . Construction is under supervision of <br /> A.S.C.S. and Department of Natural Resources permit has been applied for. <br /> (4) . Ponds will have no inlet or outlet, will utilize surface and sub- <br /> surface water. i <br /> i <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None OPPOSED: None TOWN BOARD: Not present. <br /> Department of Natural Resources - no communication. <br /> #592. Appeal by Robert G. Hibbard for a variance from required setback <br /> from water line and required side yard as provided by Section 10.16 <br /> C (7) (d) and 10.07 (7) (a) Dane County Zoning Ordinance.
