- Minutes S4 ' 41'
August 19, 1977
Pg. 5
IN FAVOR: R. Hibbard existing house is non-conforming in location. Pur-
pose is to replace deteriorated porch with slightly larger one. Have
spoken with neighbors and they have no objection.
OPPOSED: None TOWN BOARD: Not present.
F:
#593. Appeal by John R. Finnegan for variance from required setback
from water line as provided by Section 10.16 (7) (d) Dane County Zoning r
Ordinance. Variance is necessary to permit an addition to a residence
located in the SE 1/4 SW 1/4 of Section 18, Town of Pleasant Springs. 1'
IN FAVOR: J. Finnegan propose to build addition and fill in corner of
existing house. The addition will help prevent erosion under the walk
and the lake side of residence. The addition will not extend beyond
the limits of the existing house. r
OTHERS IN FAVOR: None OPPOSED: None TOWN BOARD: Not present.
#594. Appeal by Leslie Ballweg for a variance from required setback r
from Breunig Road as provided by Section 10.17 (3) (a) Dane County
Zoning Ordinance. Variance is necessary to permit construction of a
barn on property located in the SW 1/4 NW 1/4 of Section 26, Town of
Roxbury.
M
IN FAVOR: L. Ballweg - proposed barn will replace three old buildings in
the same location. It is the only location the building can be placed
to utilize the existing farm yard. Water-way to the rear prevents the
building from being moved farther back. The new building will not be as
emu, close to road as existing buildings.
OPPOSED: None TOWN BOARD: Robert Ballweg, Chairman in favor; any road
improvement will be done to opposite side of road.
#595. Appeal by Mr. Noltner and Mr. Hartung for a variance from minimum
lot area requirements as provided by Section 10.12 (4) (b) Dane County
Zoning Ordinance. Variance is necessary to permit a division of pro-
perty located in the NW 1/4 SW 1/4 Section 11, Town of Blooming Grove.
IN FAVOR: Jim Noltner - entire parcel was purchased with intent to re-
place existing home but existing home became too small and financial pres- ('
sures too great and property was sold to brother-in-law Mr. Hartung with
option to buy back one half. Now ready to buy back but division requires
a certified survey. There is enough area to create two lots but property
is within 30 mile limit of Madison and city has required additional
right-of-way with the result that the lots will be less in area than re-
quired by the County and creating a hardship.
OPPOSED: , None TOWN BOARD: Not present.
The public hearing was closed.
#589. Motion by Voges second by Dahlk to grant a variance of 15 feet t
from required setback from centerline of S.T.H. 73 as per finding of
fact:
1. Proposed addition is on second story and will not interfere with
highway, etc. any more than the existing residence.
