MINUTES OF THE DANE COUTdTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT JANUARY 21, 1977 Present: Erickson, Dahlk, Voges. Also present: Enger, Fleck. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. in Room #226, City-County Building, to hold a public hearing as published by Class II notice. Motion by Voges second by Dahlk 'to approve the minutes of December 17, 1976 and January 18, 1977. Motion carried. The notice was read and the publk hearing was opened. #547. Appeal by Donald Peterson for a variance from required lot width as provided by Section 10. 12 (4) (a) Dane County Zoning Ordinance. Vari- ance is necessary to permit keeping of cattle on a parcel of land located in part of the NE 1/4 NE 1/4, Section 24, Burke Township. IN FAVOR: Don Peterson - OTHERS IN FAVOR: None - OPPOSED: None LETTER: W. Olson Realty; no objection. - TOWN BOARD: Not present. #548. Appeal by the Oregon Sno-Blazers for Special Exception Permit, , as required by Section 10. 33 (2) Dane County Zoning Ordinance, to con- struct a snow-mobile bridge over the Sugar River in part of the NE 1/4 NE 1/4 Section 10, Montrose Township. IN FAVOR: Wendell, Christensen, representing Oregon Sno-Blazers - OTHERS IN FAVOR: None - OPPOSED: None - TOWN BOARD: Letter in favor. 41:107 #549. Appeal by John Danz for a Special Exception Permit as required by Section 10. 16 (7) (g) and 10. 33 (7) (a) (2 thru 4) to straighten a part of Black Earth Creek located in the SW 1/4 NW 1/4 Section 26, Town- ship of Black Earth. IN FAVOR: J. Danz - OTHERS IN FAVOR: None - OPPOSED: None - TOWN BOARD: Not present; DNR no communication. #276. Melvin Cohen part of the SE 1/4 NW 1/4 Section 12, Verona Township remanded to the Board of Adjustment by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to determine whether, or not, use of property for parking/storage of com- mercial cehicles is permitted by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. IN FAVOR: Howard Goldberg; Attorney for Cohen. - OPPOSED: Tom Creeron; Assistant Corporation Counsel - Letter from Verona Town Board. The public hearing was closed. #547. Motion by Dahlk, second by Voges to hold in abeyance pending possibility of lease or purchase of additional land required. Motion carried. #548. Motion by Voges, second by Dahlk to grant the Special Exception permit for a bridge. 1. The bridge is necessary to provide a safe crossing over the the Sugar River between CTH PD and STH 69, thereby keeping snow- mobilers off of the highways.
