Motion by Kruschke, second by Purcell to grant a variance of 12 <br /> feet, for Easterly lot, and 40 feet, for Westerly lot, from required <br /> lot width; and, a variance of 150 square feet from minimum required lot <br /> area for Westerly lot. <br /> FINDING OF FACT: <br /> 1. Property is adjacent to area platted in 1918. The lots are only <br /> 40 feet in width and the majority of them are utilized, individua ly, <br /> for a residence. <br /> 2. Proposed lost are larger than those in the platted area. <br /> CONCLUSION: <br /> a. proven case of unnecessary hardship. <br /> b. Variance is necessary to provide right enjoyed by others. <br /> c. Variance is not contrary to rights of others or to the public <br /> interest. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> #884. Motion by Schwahn, second by Purcell to deny; applicant or agent <br /> did not appear at public hearing. Motion carried. <br /> #885. Motion by Purcell, second by Kruschke to grant a variance of 6.5 <br /> feet from required rear yard. <br /> FINDING OF FACT: <br /> 1. Porch has existed for several years. <br /> 2. Fitchburg Planning, as per R. Purcell, is against indiscriminate <br /> re-zone of small parcels and re-zone would be difficult at best. <br /> 3. Area to rear of property is open farmland. <br /> CONCLUSION: <br /> a. Proven case of unnecessary hardship. <br /> b. Variance is not contrary to rights of others or to the public <br /> interest. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> #886. Motion by Voges, second by Kruschke to grant the Special Exceptio, <br /> Permit as proposed and with the following conditions: <br /> 1. Area shall be seeded and utilizing annual rye grass for rapid <br /> growth and coverage. <br /> 2. Area, after seeding, shall be protected by straw or other appro- <br /> priate cover to protect seed and prevent wash-out or erosion. <br /> 3. Work shall commence as soon as possible to alleviate possibility <br /> of erosion or siltation caused by summer storms. <br /> FINDING OF FACT: <br /> The project with conditions as specified should not cause water "pollu <br /> tion erosion or sedimentation of the Yahara River and, as per testi- <br /> mony of Mr. Bareis, the landscaping will blend the grade of his lot <br /> into the adjacent properties preventing abnormal run-off of water ont• <br /> said adjacent properties.
