This stream is <br /> the headwaters of Bohn Creek. <br /> Before conducting the site inspection, the 24K U.S.G.S. Topographic map and Dane County GIS <br /> was used to determine the categorization of this waterway. The map shows an intermittent <br /> stream, a small pond, and a dammed pond. An intermittent stream is one that has a periodic or <br /> recurrent flow. A field inspection was conducted on April 22, 2016. It was observed that <br /> channelization upstream of the spring-fed pond occurred due to the extreme change in <br /> topography, however other than the topography there was no evidence of a defined bed or bank <br /> development or a distinct change in vegetation. At the time of the field inspection there was no <br /> evidence of water present upstream of the ponds. <br /> After further review of the waterway, it has been determined that this intermittent stream is NOT <br /> navigable east and upstream from the ponds. Downstream of the ponds, Bohn Creek is <br /> navigable. <br /> I hope you find this information helpful.
