COMPOSIT REPORT
APPLICATION # Ski 7
TOWN BOARD COMMENT:
Though this land is currently in A-1 Exclusive the majority of the Town Board felt it
was extremely poor as land. The excessive slope of the land is not condusive to
farming.
STAFF COMMENTS
REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION (RPCl
Petition 5679. This proposed 3-lot division is in the Agricultural Preservation District of the Town of
Springfield Land Use Plan and the Dane County Farmland Preservation Plan.
The relevant town/county policy is: "Lands in the agricultural district should not be rezoned for non-
farm residential development at an overall density of greater than one dwelling unit for 35 acres."
This parcel of 20 acres existed at the time of plan adoption. It has a single-family residence on the
northern portion.
There is no rationale to approve this request. Any further division of this parcel clearly conflicts with
adopted policies.
The reason for the "density policy" is to prevent such successive divisions.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPT. (EHD)
CO. HIGHWAY DEPT.
OTHER
