Sanchez Industrial Design Inc.
3510 W. Beltline Hwy.
Middleton, WI 53562
(608) 824-9428
The following graphs show the sound levels measured at both locations of interest. The
graphs show how the sound level change throughout the day, with sound level increases
during the day time hours and lower levels during the night time hours. These changes are
mostly due to human activity like traffic on County Highway MM and other farm related
activities. Site 2 provides a sample of the sound levels that can be expected at a residence
and Site 1 provides the sound levels expected at a remote site with sources that include
distant traffic (from County Highway MM) and natural sources (like wind and wind in the
trees).
Leq is the sound energy present at the site and it can be used to identify the "average sound
level" for each hour.
Lmax represent the loudest sound level measured during each hour. These levels are mostly
due to truck traffic on County Highway MM.
L(90) represents the lowest levels present at the site. This metric is used to characterize the
"background" sound levels.
Payne & Dolan -Town of Oregon Site 1 -Sept. 2-4, 2003
1-hour Intervals
i
80
75
70
80• --A M " 11111111•1111/11
.
