•
• •
\i)dm of ti.
DANE COUNTY, WISCONSIN
OFFICE OF THE CLERK
4177 Old Stage Road
Brooklyn, WI 53521
January 24 , 1992
William Fleck
Dane County Zoning Administrator
Room 116 City-County Building
Madison , WI 53709
RE: Rezoning Petition 5216
The Town of Rutland would like to submit the following
information regarding Petition #5216 to specifically address
comments by the Regional Planning Commission as noted on the
Composite Report .
The Regional Planning Commission states that the proposed
rezoning conflicts with adopted town/county policy because
the maps they consulted showed that the soils were classified
as prime farmland . We are enclosing a copy of the Planning
Commission minutes from December 2 , 1991 which note that the
land proposed for this home site is not prime cropland and
therefore would not be in conflict with our Land Use Plan.
As further noted in the minutes , the proposed site was viewed
by members of the Planning Commission prior to making a
decision on this rezoning petition . Because of this viewing ,
the Town felt that rezoning of this area would not constitute
a conflict with our policy. Ms . Celley also indicated that
she had in mind the raising of bees . I realize that you had
no way of knowing this .
I am sorry this information was not submitted on the original
reply form where provided for --- we simply did not realize
that this would be construed as being in conflict .
Please include this information when Petition #5216 is being
reviewed.
For the Rutland Town Board,
Dawn George , t`lerk JAN
d 1992
ZQrVtpvu jai
