One item on the A•djenda <br /> was a fact finding public .hearing on the Flying J' prbp�sal. <br /> No decisions were schedualed or made at that meeting. • <br /> • <br /> One .item discussed with the Town attorney was the amount 'of' • <br /> time necessary for final action and our recommendation. In early <br /> January our Town Board informed you that it 'was our intent to - <br /> complete a review in sixty days. Legal opposition and questions <br /> have delayed a visit to one of your existing sites and delay <br /> in a needed traffic and highway study. Our attorney suggested <br /> that a one hundred and twenty day review period may well be : <br /> needed due to present delays and the scope of the review. We: <br /> understand you concern for time in a decision, but feel it , <br /> necessary to inform you that earlier review date may need an <br /> extension. We continue to hope for an earlier date, but can <br /> not committe to the suggested original sixty days. <br /> We expect legal and written information soon that will allow <br /> us to reschedual the anticipated site visit and awarding of <br /> a road study contract. Given that written information, we will <br /> attempt to enclude as many of the desired people as possible <br /> for that visit (DeForest, Dane County, ect. ) . <br /> A copy of a letter mailed to Dane County Highway and the Wis. <br /> Dept. of Transportation is enclosed for your review. I expect <br /> that study, even if approved, would not be completed prior to <br /> our decision- and secondary and longer term in nature. Thus <br /> the continued need for a project study for your request. <br /> Please contact me at your conveinence of any comments or <br /> questions. It is important for us to be aware of your continued <br /> intrest or position on this request.
