The <br /> application for conditional use permit proposes expanding the <br /> existing kennel and retail sales of the Malagold dog kennel . <br /> We are strongly against this proposed conditional use permit <br /> for expansion. We are greatly affected by the placement of this <br /> kennel which we were against when it was put here in 1971 as our <br /> property joins this area. We have owned our property since 1964 . We <br /> did not want this kennel built here in the early 1970 ' s for fear of <br /> the noise pollution brought about by barking dogs boarded and owned <br /> by the kennel plus those dogs brought in for classes given by the <br /> kennel . It is our understanding that the kennel now has the <br /> capacity of keeping 250 animals which includes dogs , cats , and <br /> three horses on less then 4 acres of land . This has also lowered <br /> our property value in what was a quiet residential and agriculture <br /> neighborhood. <br /> The barking and noise that has come with this kennel has been <br /> terrible . We already find that many spring , summer, and fall nights <br /> we have to close our windows and turn on the air conditioner to <br /> have it quiet enough to sleep.
