let her know of these problems over the years .
Our outside activities are affected also by the noise
pollution from the kennel . We can not stand a short distance from
each other on our lawn and hold a conversation because our voices
are drowned out by the barking of the dogs . Our small grandchildren
are very frightened by these animals ' actions of rushing up to the
fence and barking aggressively at them.
We have caught dogs that have escaped from the kennel and
returned them. Also we have called Constance when a dog is running
around on our property for her to retrieve them. Some of her dogs
are very aggressive and can be very threatening , barking and
charging at the fence toward us if we are on our lawn doing
maintenance work.
The Dane County' s own land use planning committee which has
proposed and encouraged the adoption of guidelines for development
and expansion of natural wetlands and flood plains are in direct
opposition to what is being proposed in this application by
expanding the kennel and retail sales of the Malagold dog kennels .
The Malagold kennels is in such a natural wetland and flood plain
because the property joins the northeast side of the Token Creek
Park system. The recent public hearings held this last winter by
Dane County Zoning and Planning Department which we had attended
proposed preservation guidelines for the use of natural wetlands
and flood plains for the Cherokee Marsh/Token Creek Park area. The
Token Creek Park System in keeping with preserving a natural
wetland and flood plain area was to be set aside from further
development and expansion in this land plan proposal .
