This proposed airstrip and reuse of an existing agricultural building as a <br /> hangar is In a farmland preservation area of the Town of Springdale. <br /> The proposed runway follows a natural ridge among the rolling hills of this area. <br /> The town plan does not address airstrips, but by nature of the land area and <br /> potential conflicts, such airstrips generally are in rural agricultural areas. <br /> There is concern, however , with at least four non-farm homes to the northeast which <br /> would probably be impacted by landings and takeoffs In that direction. if this is <br /> approved, there needs to be limits on the number (10) and size (single engine) of <br /> aircraft as well as the primary direction of takeoff and landing operations. <br /> Environmental Health Dept.
