MINUTES OF THE TOWN OF MAZOMANIE <br /> LAND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE <br /> April 27, 1992 <br /> Present: Chairperson Fred Teitgen, Bed Hodgson, Jim McSweeney, <br /> Sharon Royston, Dennis Schafer, Dan Viste <br /> Others: All who are identified as speaking during this meeting <br /> and the public who attended and signed the public <br /> register. This register is available from the Town <br /> Clerk. <br /> Proof of Posting was acknowledged <br /> Minutes of the 4-13-92 meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> Carl Goodwiler zoning request: <br /> D. Witter presented a new site plan to scale to the <br /> committee. D. Witter stated that they have done as the committee <br /> asked and feel that they have been accomodating to everyone's <br /> wishes. They feel they have a legal driveway easement. He also <br /> stated that his contractor assured him that hte driveway will be <br /> less than 10% grade. <br /> Carl Goodwiler. . . stated that he does not plan to sell off any <br /> more for a couple of years. <br /> Mucklers. . . . researched and presented their title policy to <br /> evidence no easement and the documentation seemed to bear this <br /> out. They recommended responsible development in view of the <br /> fragile environment and resource area. They asked us to decide on <br /> facts, not emotions or personal considerations. <br /> Pat McSweeney. . . .Presented a wildlife survey prepared by Dr. Stan <br /> Temple. The majority of area residents contacted ( not all were) <br /> treasure the wildlife and are concerned with development, water <br /> quality, and erosion in the area. <br /> Walter Kirch & son. . . . spoke in favor of development if no laws <br /> are violated and that neighbors should cooperate. <br /> Dorothy Dunlap Szudy & Jeanne Rochon. . . . gave their opinion that <br /> developers in the area have not been up front and are building <br /> more that stated; opposed to cutting up farmland in the country; <br /> wild life and birds are very important to the area. <br /> Jack Witchita. . . .opposed to the changing character of the area, <br /> the concentration of density, had privacy concerns and <br /> environmental concerns. <br /> Dennis Rirch. . . .stated driveway seeding woul help the existing <br /> erosion problem and that if you want privacy -- buy more acres. <br />
