MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE DANE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> COMMITTEE HELD ON August 27, 1992 <br /> The following members were present: Lynch, Quackenbush, Gaskill and Dreps. <br /> Also: Fleck and Reynolds. <br /> Meeting called to order at 6:33 P.M. in Room 2E by Vice Chair Quackenbush to <br /> hold public hearing as published by Class II Notice. <br /> MINUTES: Gaskill/Dreps to approve minutes of July 23, 1992 and August 20, <br /> 1992. <br /> #2249. Appeal by Kaltenberg Builders, agent for Larry Salopek for a variance <br /> from required sideyard as provided by Section 10.05(7) to permit single family <br /> residence as constructed at 7500 Rolling Meadow Road in the SW 1/4 NE 1/4 - <br /> Section 5, Town of Verona. <br /> (No appearances) <br /> Gaskill/Dreps to deny requested variance from required left sideyard to permit <br /> deck/porch as constructed. <br /> FINDING OF FACT: <br /> 1) . Builder constructed deck/porch addition to new single family residence <br /> after being advised location was not acceptable upon receipt of zoning permit. <br /> 2) . Board has held decision pending investigation of land transfer between <br /> adjoining owners to remove need for variance. <br /> 3). Applicant/owner has not contacted Board since May 28, 1992 Hearing. <br /> CONCLUSION: <br /> 1). Unnecessary hardship was not proven. <br /> Motion carried - 3-0. <br /> #2265. Appeal by Kurt Bandt and Kristy Pavey for a variance from required <br /> setback from road and sideyard as provided by Section 10.17(3) and 10.123(7) <br /> to permit garage addition to existing residence at 2865 Sleepy Hollow Road in <br /> the N 1/2 NW 1/4 - Section 10, Town of Dunn. <br /> No appearances. <br /> Gaskill/Dreps to deny requested variances from sideyard and setback from road <br /> to permit garage addition to existing single family residence as proposed. <br /> FINDING OF FACT: <br /> 1). Applicant was held in abeyance since June 25, 1992 Hearing to allow <br /> applicant to investigate alternatives to variance as requested. <br /> 2). Applicant has failed to re-appear for either June or July Hearings. <br /> 3). Appears relocation of garage location could be accomplished without need <br /> for variances or to a lesser amount. <br /> CONCLUSION: <br /> 1). Unnecessary hardship was not proven. <br /> Motion carried - 3-0. <br /> #2272. Appeal by Lincoln Engineering, agent for Charles Quinn for Special <br /> Exception Permit as provided by Section 11.05(3) to permit filling, grading, <br /> etc. within 300 feet of Starkweather Creek at 251 N. Fair Oaks Avenue in the <br /> NE 1/4 NE 1/4 - Section 5, Town of Blooming Grove. <br /> IN FAVOR: D. Bomkamp <br /> Gaskill/Lynch to grant, with conditions, permit to fill/grade within 300 <br /> Starkweather Creek for mini-warehouse project. <br />
