MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE DANE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> COMMITTEE HELD ON September 26, 1991 <br /> The following members were present: Harvey, Edgar, Clark-Gaskill, Quackenbush <br /> and Rendall. <br /> Also: Fleck and Reynolds. <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Harvey in Room #2-E <br /> City-County Building to hold public hearing as published by Class II Notice. <br /> Quackenbush/Clark-Gaskill Minutes of August 22 and September 24, 1991. Motion <br /> carried - 4-0. <br /> #2167. Appeal by Scott Sign Company, agent for Meier GMC Truck Inc. for a <br /> variance from required maximum sign area, height and number of signs allowed <br /> as provided by Section 10.74(19) to permit on-premise pylon sign at 200 West <br /> Beltline Highway in the SW 1/4 NW 1/4 - Section 36, Town of Madison. <br /> IN FAVOR: M. Anderson OPPOSED: -- COMMUNICATION: Town Board <br /> Quackenbush/Edgar to hold until October Hearing to allow applicant to <br /> investigate possibility of incorporating 2 pylon signs into 1 sign. <br /> Motion carried - 5-0. <br /> #2168. Appeal by Vivian Engineering, agent for Robert Seamon for a Special <br /> Exception Permit as provided by Section 11.05(3) to permit filling, grading, <br /> etc., within 300 feet of Lake Koshkonong at 346 Lake Park Shore Drive being <br /> part of Lots 5, 7 and all of Lot #6, Block 1, Edgerton Beach - Section 25, <br /> Town of Albion. <br /> IN FAVOR: F. Vivian OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: Planning Commission <br /> Quackenbush/Clark-Gaskill to hold until October Hearing to allow Board to make <br /> inspection of property. Motion carried - 5-0. <br /> #2169. Appeal by Pietsch Landscaping for a variance from required setback <br /> from. road as provided by Section 10.17(1) to permit addition to existing <br /> garden center at 2727 USH 51 in the NE 1/4 SE 1/4 - Section 9, Town of Dunn. <br /> IN FAVOR: J. Frankin OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: Town Board <br /> Quackenbush/Clark-Gaskill to grant variance of 19 more or less feet from <br /> required setback to centerline of USH 51 to permit addition to existing garden <br /> center. <br /> FINDING OF FACT: <br /> 1). Application is a re-apply of previous grant to which permit was not <br /> obtained. <br /> 2). Proposed addition will extend no nearer to right-of-way than does <br /> existing garden center. <br /> 3). property has other variances for buildings as constructed. <br /> CONCLUSION: <br /> 1). Variance preserves the zoning ordinance as much as possible without <br /> injustice to applicant. <br /> 2). Variance is not contrary to rights of others or to the public interest. <br /> kimw Motion carried - 5-0. <br />
