Property is a small corner lot and restricted by setback from <br /> 2 roads. <br /> 3) . Grade of property at proposed garage location is approximately <br /> 8 feet below grade of Potowatami Trail. <br /> 4) . Special Exception Permit would be necessary for retaining <br /> walls or additional earth disturbing activity within 300 feet of <br /> Lake Koshkonong. <br /> 5) . Blackhawk Drive is unimproved and presently serves only <br /> applicant' s residence and offers lake access. <br /> 6) . Property is in an area of numerous non-conforming structures. <br /> CONCLUSION: <br /> 1) . Variance preserves the zoning ordinance as much sa possible <br /> without injustice to applicant. <br /> 2) . Wachowiak OPPOSED: William Fleck, <br /> Zoning Administrator COMMUNICATION: <br /> GASRILL/LYNCH to hold appeal until January Hearing to allow for <br /> additional information to be submitted. Appeal by James and Betty Watkins for a variance from <br /> required setback from road as provided by Section § 10. 17 (3) to <br /> permit proposed addition to existing single family residence at <br /> 6138 Alpine Road in the S i SW a - Section 31, Town of Oregon. <br /> IN FAVOR: B. Watkins OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: Town Board <br /> GASRILL/KLOPP to grant variance of 26± feet from required setback <br /> to right-of-way of Alpine Road to permit addition to existing <br /> residence which will encroach no nearer than existing building <br /> line. <br /> FINDING OF FACT: <br /> 1) . That portion of Alpine Road is a dead-end and presently serves <br /> only one other residence. <br /> 2) . Oregon Town Board is not objecting to requested variance. <br /> 3) . Addition will be enclosed porch and entry to existing <br /> residence. <br /> 4) . Addition is designed to make more energy efficient access to <br /> home. <br />
