Appeal by Ron Klaas, agent for Wendell Keene for a Special Exception <br /> Permit as provided by Section 11.05(3) to permit filling, grading, etc. , <br /> within 300 feet of Lake Mendota at 4806 Batz Road being part of Outlot #25, <br /> Assessor's Plat of Fox Bluff Section 32 and Section 4 So., Town of Westport. <br /> IN FAVOR: R. Klaas, J. Watts, D. Watts OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: Town <br /> Board, letter from neighbor <br /> Gaskill/Lynch to grant, with conditions, permit to fill, grade, terracing and <br /> retaining walls as per plans and specifications as per submitted plan. <br /> CONDITIONS: <br /> 1). That plans and specifications be prepared by a licensed engineer withint <br /> the scope of the application, and filed with the Zoning Department before <br /> commencement of any work. <br /> 2). That all work be performed in compliance with approved engineering <br /> standards and all applicable governmental rules and regulations particularly <br /> Section 11.05(4) of Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> (3). That there be filed with the Zoning Department a certificate of <br /> compliance by a licensed engineer at the completion of the project. <br /> 4). Completion and certification dealine of July 1, 1993. <br /> FINDING OF FACT: <br /> 1). Proposed project is intended to restore and stabilize bank in need of <br /> repair. <br /> 2). Due to height of bank and steepness of slope terracing is necessary. <br /> 3). Engineering provided by Ron Klaas P.E. from D'Onofrio Kottke and <br /> Associates. <br /> 4). Project will utilize limestone retaining walls and natural vegetation <br /> utilized for landscaping. <br /> CONCLUSION: <br /> 1). The project as planned, with specified conditions; will not result in <br /> substantial detriment to navigable waters by erosion, sedimentation, <br /> impairment of fish or aquatic life, or safe and healthful conditions. <br /> Motion carried - 3-0. Quackenbush and Klopp, abstain. <br /> #2382. Appeal by Scott and Jan Zimmerman for a variance from required <br /> sideyards as provided by Sections 10.07 and 10.16(5) to permit additions to <br /> existing single family residence at 3006 Waubesa Avenue being Lot #13, Block <br /> #1, Waubesa Beach, Section 5, Town of Dunn. <br /> IN FAVOR: S & J Zimmerman, S. Lacy. <br /> Gaskill/Dreps to grant a variance of 4 feet from required (South side) <br /> sideyard to permit stoop/entry, not to exceed 4' x 6' . <br /> FINDING OF FACT: <br /> 1). Applicant withdraws request for opposite (North side) sideyard variance. <br /> 2). Property presently has deck addition and sideyard encroachment for <br /> structures built without required permits. <br />
