Appeal by Rich and Vickie Stevenson for a variance from required minimum lot <br /> area and lot width as provided by Section 10.05(4) to permit zoning change for <br /> nonconforming parcel at 8663 West Mineral Point Road in the NW 1/4 NW 1/4 Section <br /> 27, Town of Cross Plains. <br /> IN FAVOR: M. Rossler OPPOSED: --- <br /> COMMUNICATION: Town Board <br /> KAY/LONG to grant variance of 6,694 square feet from required minimum lot area also <br /> to grant a variance of 8.5 feet from minimum required lot width to permit existing lot. <br /> Finding of fact: <br /> 1). Applicant has a pre-existing sub-standard lot, with a residence upon it, zoned B-1. <br /> 2). Applicant proposes to rezone property to R-1, Residential for mortgage purposes. <br /> 3). R-1 Residence District has a 20,000 square foot minimum lot area and 100 foot <br /> minimum lot width requirement. <br /> 4). Area(Pine Bluff)has numerous non-conforming lots with numerous variances <br /> granted. <br /> 5). Property zoned B-1, Local Business, in 1950 in anticipation of commercial <br /> development which never materialized. <br /> Conclusion: <br /> 1). Variance is not contrary to rights of others or to the public interest. <br /> tor 2). Variance preserves the Zoning Ordinance as much as possible without injustice to <br /> applicant. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> APPEALS FROM PREVIOUS HEARINGS: <br /> #3162.
