Quams Park, Section 25, Town <br /> of Dunn. <br /> IN FAVOR:J. White ,B. White OPPOSED: -- COMMUNICATION: Town Board <br /> Sayles/Kay to deny requested variance of 0.5 feet to required setback,of 20 feet from <br /> right-of-way of Quam Drive,to permit residence garage as constructed. <br /> Finding of fact: <br /> 1). Applicant constructed new detached residence garage after constructing new <br /> residence in 1997. <br /> 2). New garage replaced former structure which was 17.7 feet from required setback. <br /> 3). Applicant claims contractor errored and encroachment limited to 1 corner of building <br /> as structure is not square to lot line. <br /> 4). Permit originally issued for a 16' x 24' structure and plan changed to construct a 20' <br /> x 27' building. - (ZP 1999-3394). <br /> 5). Applicant has 2 car attached garage in residence and needs accessory structure for <br /> boat storage. <br /> Conclusion: <br /> 1). Unnecessary hardship was not proven. <br /> Motion carried—4- 1. (Klopp—no). <br /> #3136. Appeal by Edwin&Elizabeth Rooney and Cave of the Mounds,Inc. for a <br /> variance from required sign location as provided by Section 10.83(2)to permit <br /> replacement of on-premise sign as proposed at 2975 Cave of the Mounds Road (County <br /> Highway F) in the SW 1/4 SW 1/4 Section 5, Town of Blue Mounds. <br /> IN FAVOR: J. Klimczyk OPPOSED: -- COMMUNICATIONS: Co. Hwy. <br /> Klopp/Sayles to grant,with condition,variance of 15 feet from required setback from <br /> road right of way for on-premise signage as proposed. <br /> CONDITIONS: <br /> 1). That sign shall be removed at owners expense if future road improvement requires <br /> additional right of way. <br /> Finding of fact: <br /> 1). County Highway Department required applicant to redesign driveway causing <br /> removal of non-conforming sign. <br /> 2). Applicant feels elevating sign or locating at required setback would create more of a <br /> traffic hazard by making it less visible to approaching traffic. <br /> 3). Property slopes downhill from road into parking lot. <br />
