Lane <br /> Long/Ross to deny requested variance from maximum allowable lot coverage to allow <br /> 27' x 20' residential garage as proposed. <br /> Finding of fact: <br /> 1). Applicant has obtained a zoning permit and commenced construction on a substantial <br /> residential addition. <br /> 2). Proposed 3 stall garage to be 27' x 20'. <br /> 3). Lot width is 40 feet at Lake Waubesa and 45 feet at Crescent Road. <br /> 4). Removing deck or demolishing old boathouse could give sufficient area for garage to <br /> be built. <br /> Conclusion: <br /> 1). Unnecessary hardship was not proven. Bruskewitz Comm: Land Conservation Dept. <br /> Ross/Klopp to find sufficient information or new finding of fact to warrant <br /> reconsideration. Motion carried, 3-1. (Long—no) <br /> Ross/Klopp to rescind BOA action of 3/26/01 in which variance from right sideyard <br /> was denied, and to GRANT,with Condition, variance of 8.5 +/- feet from required right <br /> sideyard to permit addition to existing residence as proposed. <br /> Condition: To include a storm water run-off plan, in which water generated on the site is <br /> dealt with on-site. The plan is subject to Dane County Land Conservation approval. <br /> Finding of Fact: <br /> 1). By building atop existing garage,plan minimizes creation of additional impervious <br /> surfaces. <br /> 2). Property abuts lands owned by Dane County(Lake Mendota Park). <br /> 3). Variance#200 (10/20/72) allowed encroachment of garage on which variance#3120 <br /> is intending to build atop. <br /> 4). Proposal is for bed,bath, closet, and deck addition. <br /> 5). Land Conservation Dept. supports building over existing garage to minimize water <br /> run-off from reaching County Park. <br /> Conclusion: <br /> 1). Variance preserves the zoning ordinance as much as possible without injustice to <br /> applicant. <br /> 2). Variance is not contrary to rights of others or to the public interest. <br />
