As some of the <br /> closest residents to the quarry site, we thought you would <br /> like to know that we do not oppose your expansion plans . <br /> The gravel pit has been here as long as we have , and we have <br /> never had any problems due to it. In fact, we can hardly <br /> recall hearing an explosion from the blasting. As for ground <br /> water contamination, we feel that Cottage Grove has much <br /> worse threats than the quarry to be concerned with. <br /> It is our understanding that your gravel pit has been part of <br /> the Town of Cottage Grove 's plan for quite some time , and we <br /> have confidence that the planning committee has the best <br /> interests of the Town in mind .
