In this borehole, approximately
101 feet of 8 inch diameter, 0.322 inch thick steel casing that is assembled
with welded joints meeting NR 112.085 requirements will be placed. The
annular space around the casing will be filled with cement grout. Below the
casing, an 8 inch diameter open drillhole will be extended to about the 350
foot depth in the sandstone bedrock formation.
This well is expected to be fitted with a 400 gallon per minute capacity
submersible pump in a type "G" well head installation. The well seal shall be
watertight and vermin proof. Water levels will be measured during well
operation with an air line and pressure gauge installation. The rate of water
usage will be calculated from the recorded hours of pump operation. Water
will be discharged from the well to adjacent surface waters. The discharge
shall be a minimum of two pipe diameters above the high water level of the
settling basin.
