+ UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
,SOIL CONSERVATION SERVICE, 511+ Potomac Lane, Madison, WI 53719
September 7, 1979
Glenn G. Kinderman
District Conservationist
Soil Conservation Service
Madison, WI 53713
Dear Mr. Kindermen:
On August 16, 1979 I made an onsite investigation on a parcel of land
owned by Mr. Don Simon. It is known as Lot 69, Stoney Ridge Subdivision.
It is located in the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 3, Burke Township,
Dane County, Wisconsin. The enclosed map and the following narrative
report the results of this investigation.
Pits numbered 1 thru 6 are completely filled in and were not examined.
Pit No. 7 exposed soil classified as Plano silt loam on about 1% slope.
Solid dolomite bedrock that is more than 90% hardrock begins at a depth
of 82 inches from the present ground surface. This soil has a MODERATE
degree of limitation for onsite sewage disposal.
Pit No. 8 is similar to pit no. 7 except that the bedrock begins at 76
inches.
Sincerely,
. ;;/(01r■40' , ,
Carl L. Glocker
Soil Scientist
Enclosure
II
v
