OF Mqf,
Town of Madison
as 440 2120 Fish Hatche ry Rd. •Madison, Wisconsin •53713
General Business Office• (608) 257-1494
Iti %'A B. 1$t'`
April 16, 1991
Dane County Board of Adjustment
City-County Building
210 Martin Luther King Blvd.
Madison, WI 53709
Gentlemen:
SUBJ: Board of Adjustment Pet. #2107- Ripple Management
881 W. Beltline Highway
The Town of Madison supports the efforts of Ripple Management to purchase
and renovate the property at 881 1J. Beltline Highway. These developers have
already made a positive impact in our area by the renovating of the property
at 2810 Todd Drive. This renovation turned a problem proeprty into a positive,
affordable housing location which benefits low to moderate income residents.
In addition, the hands-on management style provided by Ripple Management helps
ensure that the properties continue to be assets to the Town of Madison and
to the surrounding community.
We urge the Board of Adjustment and the Zoning and Natural Resources Committee
to approve Ripple Management's respective requests for a zoning change and
variances for parking and lot size. In addition, the Town of Madison hopes to
provide funds via the Wisconsin Development Fund, to assist in the renovation.
When completed, 881 W. Beltline Highway will be targeted toward low and moder-
ate income residents.
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
DONNA L. MEIER
Town Clerk
cc: Ripple Management___,„)
