we would sell would have the original labels . We would sell
unopened bottles of wine ranging form $10. 00 to $25. 00 per bottle
and up, that would cater to fine wine lovers more than the mass
public. We would sell no wine by the glass as the Wisconsin Class
A liquor license restricts us from doing.
The restrictions placed on us by the Middleton Town Board
restricts up to 15 vehicles, however we feel that 10 vehicles
would be sufficient. The signage would be limited to that of the
ordinance of the limited family business and we have no problems
with the restrictions .
Larry now is employed in Dane Wisconsin as Plant Manager of
Traex, a division of the Menasha Corporation. We live in
DeForest and the Gallery is in McFarland. We would like Barb to
be able to stay at home more and run the business from our home .
We presently have no employees and occasionally are helped out by
a sister and mother who collect no income . Our gallery is not a
business that supports us and we do not depend upon it for our
living expenses . We would like to be able to purchase property
which we could have a limited family business, and still be
reasonably within driving distance to Dane, Wisconsin. As we read
the limited family restrictions in the Conditional Use Permit
guide lines we feel that we fall within the guidelines .
We really do feel that the Gallery and Winery would be a asset to
both us and the community, and would be a way of preserving a
part of the past for those in the community. To date, with all of
our meetings with the Middleton Town Board and attending the
Hearing at Dane County Zoning, no one has voiced any opinion
against our request for a Conditional Use Permit except for
developer Mr . Ken Welton. The present owners of the property,
Mr . and Mrs . Doyle, have talked to neighbors and have had only
positive response to our proposal to open a Wildlife Art Gallery
and Winery. We invite you to visit our Gallery in McFarland, or
telephone if you have any questions or comments about our request
