The Dane County Surveyor's record book Vol. 5, Pg. 168 records a survey by
W.L. In Vol. 5, Pg. 169, P.H. Hintze
comments on the survey performed by Marcy. Marcy also refers to a large boulder at corner No. 11 of Section
12. A large boulder was found with a chiseled cross on it. The area is shown as a pond and no monument
was set although aluminum monuments were set north and east of the corner along with other ties.
June 2, 2009 -John Krebs noted that no monument was found. Ties for the witness monuments set by D.V.
Doyle were recovered. The corner location was computed using the ties existing ties.
