Hammersley, President <br /> Hammersley Stone Co. , Inc. <br /> 6292 Lacy Road <br /> Verona, WI 53593 <br /> AFFIDAVIT OF EVALUATION <br /> • <br /> LOCATION <br /> Deposit is located in the NWI/4SE1/4 of Section 7, T.5N. , R.9E. , Town of <br /> Oregon, Dane County, Wisconsin <br /> ACCESS <br /> By County Trunk Highway "D" . <br /> TOPOGRAPHY <br /> • Glacial sheet outwash with gentle slope to the southwest; interstage ground <br /> moraine with increased irregular elevations to the northeast. <br /> DESCRIPTION <br /> A relatively uniform deposit of sand and gravel with good "classification" <br /> (particle sorting by water and height of glacial ice) . Overburden of brown silt <br /> loam averaging 4 feet, with upper footage containing a slight reddish tinge from <br /> iron coated aeolian (wind blown) fine sand. <br /> MINERALOGY <br /> Rock types and minerals present are derived from the glacial path of the <br /> Green Bay Lobe of Cary Ice of the Wisconsin Stage of glaciation. Includes <br /> remnants of the three major periods of carbonate deposition along with the common <br /> sandstones and shales of post-Cambrian age . Metamorphic rock present is in the <br /> form of quartzites, gneisses , and slate . The igneous particles examined were <br /> granites, syenites , diorites , and various periodotites (ferro-mags) . <br />
