THis petition for the airport Is In response to <br /> a violation cited by the Zoning staff . The area south of Grandview Road <br /> Is a residual parcel and A-2 is the logical zoning district . <br /> The largest planning impact here is that the preferred alignment of the <br /> Verona By-Pass Highway passes through the airport property and will take <br /> the hangar area for highway use. According to a November 6, 1991 report <br /> published for a meeting with local officials, the Right-of-Way Plat will <br /> be completed in mid-1992. The actual acquisition of right-of-way will <br /> take place in 1992 and 1993. <br /> Thus, the rezoning to A-2 Is probably appropriate due to parcel size. <br /> The CUP is needed to legitimize existing structures. We note that <br /> right-of-way acquisition and construction of the by-pass highway will <br /> make it impossible to have an airport at this location in the future. <br /> • <br />
