DANE COUNTY PUBLIC LAND SURVEY MONUMENT RECORD
This record shall show the location of the corner and shall include all of the following nine elements (a
through j).
(a) CORNER LOCATION MARK CORNER LOCATION
SECTION NUMBER: 36
TOWNSHIP 05 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST
36--0
DANE COUNTY COORDINATES
NORTHING: 402,632.79
EASTING: 888,822.24
HORIZONTAL DATUM &ADJUSTMENT: NAD 83(NSRS 2011) DANE COUNTY
ORTHOMETRIC HEIGHT: 887.09 VERTICAL DATUM: (NAVD 88)
(b) Describe any record evidence, monument evidence, occupational evidence, testimonial evidence or
any other material evidence you considered, and whether the monument was found or placed.
An Aluminum Monument was found approximately 5.3'west of the centerline of Washington Road. One of the
reference monuments shown on the 1979 Sandsnes tie sheet was recovered and checked well. Many prior
surveys in the area have used a previous point located 4.78 feet east of the aluminum monument as
previously shown as the corner. More recent surveys have used the aluminum monument. The location of the
Aluminum Monument was accepted based on the verification of the existing reference tie and the monument
location was determined from an original monument location dug up in 1979 where the location previously
used to the east of the monument was based on aerial photographs. Three additional reference ties were
established and tied to the corner.
(c) CORNER LOCATION SKETCH: In the sketch, provide reference ties to at least 4 witness monuments of
lasting durable material.
(d) The sketch shall include physical features surrounding the monument location sufficient to easliy find the
monument when in the general area, such as but not limited to utility poles, signs, trees, edge of forests or
cropland, field lanes, water bodies, pavement, buildings, etc. Sketch shall also indicate north and scale, and
include descriptions of symbols, in sketch or by legend.
0
N Q J
// /\ 20,
` / \
w hi
„1 / \\ ■
_-
a s9..
S GRAVEL ;e CI- cuLVERr \W X37• _
ryEV PIPE VD \\C O
0 10' 20' / PowER
2• rk POLE
• w ■ -4.
0 •• N.88°40'44"E. 0
_/ // ` 1Y Z \\ I 37.34' X / )
OVERHEAD— PEDESTAL \Y / J
LINES
(J-y(\) 0 / FENCE
TREE,W 1 y1,9 ' ' 0 0 \\ Ory/
/ '%, Z Q \ I
MAILBOX
TREE10' Al. ."--\ Q \\,.
