•
4623 Hwy. FF
Blue Mounds, WI 53517
August 24, 1990
Agriculture,Enviranment & Land Records Committee
City County Building
210 Martin Luther King Boulevard
Madison, Wisconsin 53703
Dear Committee Members:
I am writing on behalf of Dan Campbell , who is requesting a Rezoning and
Conditional Use permit in order to purchase the Bakken property located
on Hwy. JJ, Town of Vermont.
Dan has been our neighbor since 1983. My husband and I know him to be
envirnmentally responsible, conscientious and considerate of the land
and people around him.
My husband, David as a member of the planning commission for the Town
of Vermont, and I have visited the location for Mr. Campbell's proposed
home site and limited family business. Because there is no tillable land
being disturbed, no septic system required for his business and he has no
neighbors within close proximity, I urge you to grant him a Conditional
Use permit for his business.
It is my understanding that his building will be approximately 2600 square
feet. Dan is diligent about recycling oil, tires, aluminum, plastic, glass
and steel. He performs a highly specialized service which does not attract
business from the general public. His proposed building site is as dis-
creet and unobtrusive as his present site. Dan Campbell has assisted many
local farmers in need by welding and machining parts for their farm equip-
ment as a neighborly gesture. He is a respected member of the community
and he is well-intentioned.
I hope you will give special consideration to his request. If I can be of
further assistance, please contact me.
Sincerely,
_NSI4o/L-et.-.t)(1'.C/C°44,
Sandra J. Stanfield
cc: Dan Campbell
