A PETITION TO REZONE LAND <br /> in <br /> DANE COUNTY,WISCONSIN <br /> more particularly <br /> LAND OWNED BY THE <br /> UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN FOUNDATION <br /> in the <br /> TOWN OF VERONA <br /> to be used as <br /> A GOLF COURSE AND RELATED FACILITIES <br /> 1. Legal Description (attached with map showing location of areas for rezoning) <br /> 4.017 acres for rezoning from C_2 to RE-1 Recreational district. <br /> 2. Filing Fee of$110.00 (also to pay for conditional use permit) attached. <br /> 3. Required Information - <br /> a)Proposed Use of the Property to be Rezoned <br /> The property was previously zoned C-2 to accommodate an area to be set aside for <br /> the conduct of research involving turf grasses. C-2 was selected to support turf <br /> laboratory and related building space requirements which exceed 5,000 s.f.,which <br /> is the maximum permitted in C-i. <br /> At the request of the County, the golf course entry drive has been moved east <br /> and now encroaches on the area currently zoned C-2. The appurtenant reduction <br /> in useable area and aesthetic considerations render this area unusable for the <br /> proposed research use. <br /> The area to be rezoned will be used as undeveloped open space and will serve as <br /> a buffer zone between the golf course and Cth PD. <br /> b) Time Schedule for Development <br /> With the possible exception of some golf course signage, the parcel will remain <br /> undeveloped. <br /> c t Acreage or Square Feet of the Area Proposed for Rezoning <br /> Said parcel contains 175,000 s.f, or 4.017 acres <br />
