This facility, called the 0. J. Noer Turfgrass Research Center, <br /> will be located at the University's golf course in the Town of Verona. <br /> On the advice of Dane County staff, we are asking for conditional use approval <br /> for the entire 14.7-acre area, which will contain turf research test plots and <br /> a related research service building. This building will be used primarily by <br /> University of Wisconsin-Madison researchers as they work with the Wisconsin <br /> Turfgrass Association, who are providing the major financing for this <br /> facility. So as to be able to proceed with plot preparation and planting <br /> during the coming fall planting season for grasses, we request that <br /> conditional use approval be granted on the date of the scheduled public <br /> hearing, September 11, 1990. <br /> The rezoning application is to relinquish zoning that had previously been <br /> established for the Turfgrass Center, but is no longer a suitable site for the <br /> use. <br /> A check for $110 for filing fees from the University of Wisconsin Foundation <br /> is enclosed. <br /> Yours truly, <br /> Edward L.
