i
r .
' - •
The land is all presently in an agriculture preservation dLstr-ict
which allows no more than one dwelling per 40 acres. Haferman
did not see the pr-oposel as a major overturning of the land-
scape. She wanted to own a smaller parcel to be responsible for
less in taxes.
In discussion it was pointed out that lot 4 is unbuildable.
stated no sense confirming for building if in tact
Viste 'aed f'le saw n_ sense
the lot is unbuildable with no available septic. Lot 1 is also
too small for an RH zoning which is preferable. After• a basic
discussion by the committee and viewing the map , the committee
was leaning toward a subdividing of the lot into two parcels.
Prior to public input , committee member Dennis Schafer stated
that he would be abstaining from any voting because as a neighbor
he is directly involved in the situtation but he would be
expressing his views. Schafer made mention that comments made
- would be directed to the petition and should not be taken as
personal by Haferman. Schafer saw the petition as ill conceived
to land use in this acre. When Haferman appeared informally June
25, 1990 to consider dividing off a acre plot , he had
reservations but withheld them to see the final petition.
Schafer stated the petition is radically different from original
proposal and objects strongly to the petition as it exists now.
Teitgen then opened the floor to public input. Adjoining
property owners and neighbors Phyllis Willoughby, Tom and Eleanor
Flinn, Russ and Gail Dengel , K1 over- and Dennis Schafer , and John
Rosenbeck and Debra Shimon each appeared before the board with
their objections. Copies of the letters each presented are
included with the official minutes of the land plan committee.
Each resident had a number of objections to the zoning petition.
As discussion developed , there was a another questioning
regarding the perking abibility on the lots, especially lot 4.
Haferman then stated that lot 4 was unperkable for a septic.
This information makes lot 4 an unbuildable lot.
After discussion , Ha-Ferman stated she would be withdrawing her
petition because she felt she knew how the committee would vote.
She plans on re-discussing it with her father and then come back
with another proposal . Based on this information the land plan
committee did not vote on the petition proposal . (Lfioffical note:
The feeling of the commitee was to reject the petition. )
In other business, Ben Hodgson requested information on the
possiblity of his son building on some of his land. His son
wants to build in 4 acre pasture. Hodgson is going to check with
Dane County on how to obtain a 100 foot frontage to a public road
4.
