Volenberg <br /> in the North 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 19 Town 6 North - <br /> Range 12 East, Township of Christiana, Dane County, Wisconsin, more <br /> particularly described as commencing at the Northeast corner of the <br /> Northwest 1/4 thence west 128 feet and south 100 feet tioxgopoint o <br /> beginning thence continue south 800 feet, thence west O feet," , <br /> thence north 300 feet, thence east 828 feet thence north 500 feet, <br /> thence east 472 feet to the point of beginning. The parcel consists <br /> of approximately 14.4 acres. <br /> The Tax Parcel number for the above described parcel is <br /> 08-19-368. <br /> We submit the following information for this request: <br /> a. Proposed use of the property <br /> The existing site is a previously used sand and gravel pit <br /> that was initially operated for obtaining gravel for the <br /> construction of the Interstate Highway. We propose to <br /> activate this pit for the purpose of obtaining sand and <br /> gravel for the rehabilitation projects on the Interstate <br /> Highway. <br /> b. Time schedule for development <br /> The existing rehabilitation contract with the Wisconsin <br /> Department of Transportation is a fast track project which <br /> dictates that we begin initial operations on or before <br /> March 19, 1989. This would be the same time frame for the <br /> development of this gravel pit operation. <br /> c. Reasons why the property is suitable for the proposed use <br /> This property contains a substantial reserve of sand and <br /> gravel. The site is located adjacent to a county highway <br /> and has access to the Interstate Highway with short haul- <br /> ing distances. <br /> d. Land uses within 300 feet <br /> The property is bounded on two sides with a township and <br /> county road. The other sides are bounded by farm land. <br /> The nearest buildings are the property owners residence. <br /> e. Haul roads <br /> We propose to use the County Highway 'W' as our main haul <br /> road both north and south for access to the Interstate <br /> Highway. <br />
