In the studies we hope to do the possibility of treating waste mater- <br /> ials at higher consistencies and with greatly reduced levels of hydrogen <br /> y open <br /> peroxide using a modified extruder to facilitate mixing. This approach <br /> reduces processing costs by lowering chemical inputs, increases product <br /> recovery and eliminates the need for handling and disposing of a liquid <br /> waste stream. The extruder we plan on experimenting with is a Wenger <br /> 175 or 185 with a capacity of over 2 tons per hour. <br />
