Power Source to be a 75 Horsepower, 3-Phase Electric motor. Locate
at "In" end of Extruder.
2. Reduce 1800 RPM drive to 300 RPM extruder speed = 6:1 reduction.
Belt drive from Drive Motor to Gear Reducer for safety.
3. Extruder barrel to be approximately 5" to 5'1" dia. and approx.
6' in length. Extruder barrel to be made of High Carbon or
#304 (or better) Stainless to more than withstand up to 400 psi
pressure and 260° F temperatures or more.
4. A cram feeder hopper powered by a variable speed Hydraulic motor
feeds materials that have variable consistency into the throat of
the extruder barrel .
5. The second hopper or mixing pump combines a diluted solution of
Sodium or Potassium Hydroxide into the mass in the extruder barrel .
6. The material at the end of the extruder barrel is then dropped into
a vertical auger releasing its oxygen and pressure into a surrounding
Stainless Steel chamber.
7. The Hydrogen Peroxide, as a diluted solution, is then injected into
the substrate and the vapors are withdrawn from the surrounding
Stainless Steel encasement vertically through the roof into the
atmosphere with a positive exhaust fan to prevent vapors
from any possibility of migrating into the operating area.
8. The pocessed material is then augered either to a cooling drum for
bagging and loadout or dropped through a slide gate into an enzyme
or fermentation tank.
9. Remotely located Safety sensing devices which register both temperatur
and pressure at the highest point in the extruder barrel are located
behind a polycarbonate safety window shield in an adjoining room.
10. Both manual and automatic shutdown devices are to be located
throughout the system and behind the safety shield.
11. The Stainless Steel shroud surrounding the system is to have a means
to continuously moniter the toxicity level of the emitted vapors. This
safety aspect of the system is to be able to signal and/or shut down
the machine without shutting down the exhaustion of vapors until
toxicity level is brought under control .
