Fleck: <br /> I am writing as a result of our conversation of August 2nd, <br /> regarding the proposed abandonment of a portion of Erickson Park <br /> Road, in the Town of Westport , for the purpose of the construction <br /> of a condominium project in the area bounded by Lighthouse Bay <br /> Drive, Westport Road and Lake Mendota. It is my understanding that <br /> the following conditions would exist should this portion of Brickson <br /> Park Road be abandoned: <br /> 1 . At least two private properties on Brickson Park Road, located <br /> to the northwest of the proposed condominium project will no longer <br /> be directly accessible by public roadway, unless a proposed <br /> connecting street named Hanson' s Landing is constructed by the <br /> developers , thus linking the remaining portion of Brickson Park Road <br /> to Lighthouse Bay Drive. <br /> 2 . Current proposals by the developers do not include <br /> construction of the roadway named Hanson' s Landing, but rather <br /> provide for an easement allowing access via private roadway in the <br /> condominium project . <br /> 3 . The private roadway in the proposed condominium project <br /> approximates 24 feet in width, with several turns, including some <br /> which are 90 degrees or more. <br /> 4 . A significant portion of the private roadway is lined with <br /> private garages, which are to be constructed in a staggered pattern. <br /> 5 . The property developer is to be the party responsible to <br /> insure adequate maintenance, plowing and accessibility to the <br /> proposed private roadway. <br />
