CALL TO ORDER AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES The me- ing was called to order at 4:55 p . Threinen made a motion to approv- the minutes of the March 8, 1990 eeting. Anderson seconded it. PUBLIC COMMENT Habecker indicated that she ad conducted the first drinking water ,oucation program and she presented . map to the Commission which was prod 'ed by the Capitol-GIS system. These characters are proeosed to be the mascots for th- Dane County WaterWatch Program. They re ate to different ages and th- represent both female and male. The water droplets relate to the sourc: of the problem. She indicated it would be possible to have these characters made up into costumes so th, t they could make personal a-pearances at parades and fairs throughtout t e county. Barrows asked the question about whether the mascots coule be animated, Sue replied t :t the minor animation with arms and legs or eifferent posses could be de e but full animation was not being planned du- to the expense. Christoph: indicated that he liked the whimsical aspect of the water droplet . He said that we have to get the message a ross to kids and he felt t .t these characters would help. O'Connor indicated that he felt tha the WaterWatch logo was very good and wonderee if the mascots could develop voices for the characters. Rake indica ed that they were thinking of a tic-toc and a water drop as part of the dio identifier for WaterWatc .
