A. Hart, Mindy <br /> Habecker, Dan anstorff, Lloyd Eagan. <br /> CALL TO ORDER AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The me- ing was called to order at 4:55 p . Threinen made a motion to <br /> approv- the minutes of the March 8, 1990 eeting. Anderson seconded it. The <br /> moths carried unanimously. <br /> AN SUNCEMENTS <br /> onnor announced that he would li - the group to sign a letter to give <br /> Tommy Thompson which urges him to 'gn AB 710. This letter was distributed <br /> or signature. Eagan indicated t at she would prefer to hold her <br /> announcements until item #8, Rep'rt from Watershed Management Coordinator, <br /> later in the agenda. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Habecker indicated that she ad conducted the first drinking water ,oucation <br /> program and she presented . map to the Commission which was prod 'ed by the <br /> Capitol-GIS system. She explains that a video pro -ss can be use to <br /> animate the color loco if if were to be used on tel -vision. She also <br /> introduced the gro a to "Papa Drop" and "Droplet," his granddaughter. These <br /> characters are proeosed to be the mascots for th- Dane County WaterWatch <br /> Program. They re ate to different ages and th- represent both female and <br /> male. The water droplets relate to the sourc: of the problem. She <br /> indicated it would be possible to have these characters made up into <br /> costumes so th, t they could make personal a-pearances at parades and fairs <br /> throughtout t e county. Barrows asked the question about whether the <br /> mascots coule be animated, Sue replied t :t the minor animation with arms <br /> and legs or eifferent posses could be de e but full animation was not being <br /> planned du- to the expense. Christoph: indicated that he liked the <br /> whimsical aspect of the water droplet . He said that we have to get the <br /> message a ross to kids and he felt t .t these characters would help. <br /> O'Connor indicated that he felt tha the WaterWatch logo was very good and <br /> wonderee if the mascots could develop voices for the characters. Rake <br /> indica ed that they were thinking of a tic-toc and a water drop as part of <br /> the dio identifier for WaterWatc . Anderson indicated his concern about <br /> the hinese torture method of dropp' g water, and Rake replied that the <br /> 005-2(1/88) <br />
