<br /> Petition from property Owners in Dane Township
<br /> We the undersigned support the application to Dane County by
<br /> Donald $ Patrica Clark to divide the 20 acre parcel that they presently
<br /> have their own homestead on into 4 parcel about 5 acres each,
<br /> a) We recognize that they have owned this land for over a guarter century
<br /> b) We recognize that they built this home in 1973, when they had their
<br /> full family there with them.
<br /> c) We recognize that 'Dane Township' has created many, many parcels
<br /> and has created many special rezoning districts since 1981 , so what
<br /> they Clark' s are asking for is only the treatment that others have been
<br /> given over the past 10 years .
<br /> d) We recognize that after the public hearing on this land division and
<br /> re-zoning proposal in December of 1989 , The Town of Dane made .no
<br /> written objection to this within the 30 days, in fact has never made
<br /> a written objection in over 6 months .
<br /> e) We recognize that our Town Board has told the Clark' s,"We don't like
<br /> the idea of small parcels being created. It tells people to move out
<br /> here, and we don't want that". Despite this verbal objection, and an
<br /> unwillingness to co-operate with the Clarks, they have not formally
<br /> objected to the County Board or County Board Land Committee.
<br /> f)r We know that the lands in the 20 acre parcel in the NE of the NE of
<br /> Section 17, Town of Dane, is all wooded land, and will not take any
<br /> cropland out of production at this time .
<br /> g) We know that Clarks themselves would like to build a new smaller re-
<br /> tirement home on one of these parcels they plan to create.
<br /> h) We also know that at . least one of their sons, and maybe 2 would like
<br /> to build on some of the other lots. Their homestead is presently on
<br /> the whole 20 acres, so that would be one lot, and it would leave 3
<br /> other wooded lots .
<br /> As petitioners, we urge this DANE COUNTY ZONING & NATURAL RESOURCES
<br /> COMMITTEE TO APPROVE THIS REQUEST, and to request the County Board to
<br /> approve this quickly so that the Clark' s may proceed with their livees ,
