I1.5 1985-86 . <br /> TRANSFER OF COUNTY LAND FROM BADGER PRAIRIE HEALTH CARE CENTER <br /> TO PARKS COMMISSION <br /> A <br /> The Badger Prairie Health Care Center Study Committee Report (September, <br /> 1985) recommended that County land south of US 151 be transferred to Parks <br /> jurisdiction and become part of Badger Prairie Park. The land is described <br /> as: all County owned land adjacent to and south of US 151. <br /> The area will be used primarily as a conservation park as per agreement <br /> with the City of Verona in 1977. According to the park master plan, the <br /> conservancy use will be enhanced with the Military Ridge Bicycle Trail, the <br /> Ice Age Trail, a bikers' camp ground, a trout pond, part of a 10 kilometer <br /> running course, tree plantings and prairie restorations. <br /> An additional acreage north of the Badger Prairie Health Care Center is <br /> recommended to be transferred to Parks. This will allow improved access and <br /> enjoyment of park facilities by Badger Prairie Health Care residents and will <br /> allow the park roadway to skirt the heavily wooded water tower hill.
