Agriculture to the R-1 Residential <br /> District. <br /> Creative Resource Ventures, Ltd. on behalf of Madison Landfills, Inc. has <br /> proposed and is pursuing development of its Libby Landfill. This landfill is <br /> located on property approximately 2400 feet west of the proposed area to be <br /> rezoned (see attached map) . <br /> Currently, MLI is negotiating with the City of Madison, Dane County, the Town <br /> of Dunn and the Town of Blooming Grove for requirements to site the landfill. <br /> Certain provisions of our local agreement with the local municipalities will <br /> involve local compensation to property owners based on property uses at the <br /> time we filed our application in 1986. While we do not oppose rezoning, we <br /> feel the owner/developer and the county should consider all land use in the <br /> area as part of their decision making process. Further, because Wisconsin <br /> DNR will determine Feasibility of the landfill and has been reviewing <br /> proposals for over five years on this site, you may want to request their <br /> report prior to your decision. While we do not anticipate any effect on the <br /> property, it is important all parties are aware of neighboring land uses. <br /> If your committee or the applicant has questions I am available at <br /> 255-3133. <br /> Very Truly Yours, <br /> Robert T.
