Conditional Use Permit Request for Nelson Property <br /> The property is lands owned by Ellis Nelson in the North 1/2 of <br /> the South 1/2 of the North West 1/4 of Section 9 Town 5 North - Range <br /> 12 East Township of Albion, Dane County, Wisconsin, more particularly <br /> described as commencing at the Northwest corner of the Southwest 1/4 <br /> of the Northwest 1/4, thence east 590 feet to a point of beginning, <br /> thence continue east 1,100 feet to Interstate right-of-way, thence <br /> south 600 feet, thence west 1,100 feet, thence._north 600 feet to the <br /> point of beginning. The parcel consists of approximately 15 acres. <br /> The Tax Parcel number for the above described parcel is <br /> 01-01-86 & 01-01-86. <br /> We submit the following information for this request: <br /> a. Proposed use of the property <br /> The existing site is now agriculture farm land. We pro- <br /> pose to use this site as a base of operations for the two <br /> Wisconsin Department of Transportation Interstate 90 reha- <br /> bilitation projects to be completed in 1989. The site <br /> will be used for: <br /> Storing and recycling the existing concrete pave- <br /> ment. <br /> Erecting and operating a central mix concrete plant <br /> for supplying concrete to the project. <br /> Establish and use of stockpiles of material neces- <br /> sary to produce the concrete. <br /> The site will be used for a base of operations and <br /> storage yard for construction equipment used on the <br /> projects. <br /> b. Time schedule for development <br /> The existing rehabilitation contract with the Wisconsin <br /> Department of Transportation is a fast track project which <br /> dictates that we begin initial operations on or before <br /> March 19, 1989. This would be the same time frame for the <br /> development of this site. <br /> c. Reasons why the property is suitable for the proposed site <br /> 1. The site is located in the area of the largest por- <br /> tion of the contemplated work. <br /> 2. We have access to the east bound lane thru the right <br /> of way fence which eliminates approximately 35 per- <br /> cent of our trucking onto public roads. <br />
