DANE COUNTY PUBLIC LAND SURVEY MONUMENT RECORD
This record shall show the location of the corner and shall include all of the following nine elements (a
through j).
(a) CORNER LOCATION MARK CORNER LOCATION
SECTION NUMBER: 14
TOWNSHIP 05 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST
14
DANE COUNTY COORDINATES
NORTHING: 415,587.70
EASTING: 880,873.84 IL
HORIZONTAL DATUM &ADJUSTMENT: NAD 83(NSRS 2011) DANE COUNTY
ORTHOMETRIC HEIGHT: VERTICAL DATUM: (NAND 88)
(b) Describe any record evidence, monument evidence, occupational evidence, testimonial evidence or
any other material evidence you considered, and whether the monument was found or placed.
A 3/4" Iron Rebar was found in an existing field leaning however it did spin when dug down. Three of the four
reference ties as established by Riesop in 2002 were recovered. Two of the ties checked well to the spin
location. The spun location matched the irons and distances to the Southeast and Southwest section corners
of Section 14 shown on CSM's 6553, 10147 and 11238 quite well all around. The location of the 3/4" Iron
Rebar was accepted based on the verification of existing ties and measurements to adjacent section corners.
One additional reference tie was established and tied to the corner.
(c) CORNER LOCATION SKETCH: In the sketch, provide reference ties to at least 4 witness monuments of
lasting durable material.
(d) The sketch shall include physical features surrounding the monument location sufficient to easliy find the
monument when in the general area, such as but not limited to utility poles, signs, trees, edge of forests or
cropland, field lanes, water bodies, pavement, buildings, etc. Sketch shall also indicate north and scale, and
include descriptions of symbols, in sketch or by legend.
POWER
POLE
N /
LINES at /1 R /
W -.4h /E N3
SR
vie
S Q /,.1rL.
b9/'
. / W
0 100' 200' 0 ,boo. co
Q'/ ,ory oV
JA)/V^ Z
CULVERT /
PIPE
n S.89°17'19"W.
Yo.' 308.92'
M
LEGEND i ,
• 3/4"IRON REBAR-SECTION CORNER Iw phi, c
a FD.3/4"IRON BAR °lib ,a o N
•Q SET 3/4"IRON REBAR lo"'
IM
Ip
;Z'
SRI' 5.89°45'28"W.
326.15'
POLE
CORNER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 40511140020
