Joseph' s College of Edgerton , Inc. , as owners of the pro- <br /> perty which is the subject of this petition , join with The <br /> Clinicare Corporation in seeking rezoning of the parcels <br /> described in that petition . We believe it to be in the best <br /> interests of the parties involved and the community that this <br /> petition be granted . <br /> 1 . The property is currently zoned A-3 Agricultural <br /> District (exclusive ) . At the time St . Joseph ' s College was built <br /> the property could have been used by Clinicare without rezoning. <br /> At the time of zoning change the property was in use for educa- <br /> tional purposes and as a prep school . The property has a very <br /> limited use . The A-1 exclusive zoning is completely <br /> inappropriate for the facility and the property in question. <br /> 2 . The property is no longer needed by St . Joseph' s <br /> College . The premises and buildings are ideally suited for <br /> Clinicare' s purposes which involve continuation of its use as an <br /> educational facility . <br /> 3 . There is no conflict with the use of the surrounding <br /> property for agriculture nor does it affect the productivity of <br /> the lands involved . There is no conversion of productive 'agri- <br /> cultural land . <br /> 4 . Purchase of the property will place the land on the <br /> county ' s tax rolls . <br /> 5 . The payroll brought into the community and the hiring of <br /> people locally will have a positive effect on the economy and <br /> unemployment rate of Dane County and particularly Albion <br /> Township .
